Ingredients (8 Servings)

  • 3 Oz Almonds slivered
  • 6 Oz Walnuts roughly chopped or pieces
  • 3 Whole Apple peeled, cored and sliced
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 14 Cup Red wine

Preparation

  • Toast nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Watch closely so they do not burn! Chop toasted nuts into small pieces. Process apple slices in a food processor until finely chopped but do not let the apples turn into applesauce. In a large bowl, combine nuts with the chopped apple. Add honey and red wine and combine. Feel free to add additional honey and wine if needed. Chill for at least 12 hours before serving.
